It’s the eve of the Sustainable Living Festival’s Big Weekend and we’ve organised a cracker of a show for you. Make sure you download a map of the stalls, talks and workshops so you’ll know where to find us.
This year’s Green Market is the biggest yet! You’ll find Poo Power! at Stall #110 ironically located by the toilets. We’re there for the full three days starting at 12 noon on Friday 15th February and winding up at 5pm on Sunday 17th February. But we have a few Poo Power-ful festivities that you don’t want to miss out on:
- I’ll be speaking at The Shed at 12 noon on Saturday 16th February. I’ll be introduced by Alex Fearnside (CEO, Yarra Energy Foundation) and as this is the first real opportunity I have been given to talk about Poo Power! so I’m ensuring I’m covering all the bases - from ecological sanitation, biogas generation and urban waterway health. Did I mention it’s free? So, there is no excuse for you to miss out!
- A last minute addition is the Steaming Toad Variety Show hosted by HG Nelson on Saturday night from 7pm. I’ve been invited by the SLF organisers to join BZE’s Matthew Wright on representing the opportunities our renewable energy sector provides. My brief was “comedy with content” as if Poo Power! wasn’t funny enough so it will be a hoot! Tickets are $15 via the SLF website.
- Lastly, and most important, is the screening of James Boldiston’s documentary “Dog Poo - The Truth At Last”. On Thursday 21st February at 630pm head to the Rivoli Cinema in Hawthorn East for what will be an enlightening experience. You will never look at dog poo the same way again - and that’s a good thing. As Village aren’t handling the ticketing we kindly ask that you purchase your tickets via Eventbrite in advance. If you come across any problems please get in contact with us.
Well, that’s it. It’s going to be grand and it’s going to be fun so don’t be shy - say hello and find out why I’m on this wonderful journey of dog poo and why you should join me on the ride.
